Welcome, EC year!

2010 (Foto: istockphoto/imaheman72)So this is 2010, the year where our well known little IBO is going european for the first time… Well, we think everyone has to grow up one day, and so the IBO will grow up to european championships every fifth year from now on. Great news, huh? :)

So what is the difference this year?

1. Waaay fewer divisions

It’s european level, there’s much more competition, so we have decreased the divisions: only 88 instead of around 130! Now everyone fighting (or performing) his way through one of them needs to be even better and to compete with even more opponents. But if he wins then, he’s earned his European Champion title more than anyone!

2. Higher fees

Yes, we admit, the fees are significant higher than for a “normal” IBO. But there’s a but: the price not only represents the higher level and allows the trophies and high cash prizes, but also includes the evening gala event, which will be more than worth the difference. :)

3. Evening gala

The European IBO is a very special event, occurring only every fifth year. And the ones who get into the finals have earned a really spectacular entrance and the full attention of both the audience and the fellow competititors. That’s what we will make possible from 6.30 pm!
